Our Commitment to Accuracy
Calculent.com is built on a foundation of mathematical precision. Every calculator on this platform is designed to produce accurate results based on verified formulas sourced from authoritative references (RBI, WHO, SEBI, CBIC, and international standards bodies).
Despite rigorous testing, we acknowledge that errors — including formula defects, input boundary bugs, rounding discrepancies, or outdated regulatory values — can occur. When they do, we correct them transparently, promptly, and permanently.
Types of Errors We Correct
- Formula Errors: Incorrect mathematical formulas or variables in calculator logic
- Regulatory Value Errors: Outdated GST slabs, tax brackets, interest rates, or RBI policy values
- Content Errors: Factually incorrect statements in educational sections, FAQ answers, or interpretations
- Boundary Errors: Input range issues causing incorrect outputs at minimum/maximum values
- Display Errors: Incorrect formatting, decimal precision, or unit mismatches in results
How to Report an Error
If you discover an error on any Calculent tool or page, please report it through the following channels:
- Email: contact@calculent.com with subject line "Error Report"
- Contact Form: Contact page — select "Report an Error" as the subject
When reporting, please include: (1) the tool name and URL, (2) the specific inputs you used, (3) the output you received, (4) the output you expected, and (5) your source/reference for the correct value.
Correction Process
- Acknowledgment: We acknowledge all error reports within 48 business hours
- Investigation: We verify the reported error against primary sources (regulatory body websites, academic papers, or official documentation)
- Testing: All corrections are tested across multiple input scenarios before deployment
- Deployment: Verified corrections are deployed within 5 business days of confirmation
- Documentation: Significant corrections are noted in the tool's content with a "Last Updated" timestamp
Proactive Correction
We monitor regulatory changes that affect our calculators, including:
- RBI monetary policy decisions (affecting interest rate benchmarks)
- Union Budget announcements (affecting income tax slabs and deductions)
- GST Council notifications (affecting GST rates and exemptions)
- WHO guideline updates (affecting health calculators)
When regulatory changes affect our calculators, we update them proactively — typically within 24-72 hours of the official announcement.
